Barbara Reed has always had love for children of all ages and backgrounds. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Hood College in Frederick, MD and her Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO.
Barbara has more than 15 years experience working with at-risk/vulnerable youth and families within the community mental health, educational, juvenile justice, corrections and child welfare arenas. Barbara is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Additionally, Barbara is recognized as a Certified Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) provider.
As the Executive Director, it is her highest priority to provide an environment of safety, creative learning and exploration as well as the ability for all staff to exhibit Christ’s love. We seek to create a strong foundation from which your child will grow and flourish into their divine purpose.
